Director of PaRC, Pain Consultant
Prof Vivek Mehta
Professor Mehta is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He is the Director of Pain Research Centre (PaRC), elected Board Member for the Faculty of Pain Medicine and Chair of the Faculty of Pain Medicine Examination (FFPMRCA) at the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He has published over 70 papers, authored several textbooks and delivered more than 200 lectures. For his services he was awarded National Consultant Bronze award in 2021.

Consultant (Associate Specialist)
Dr. Mohammed Yunus Khilji
Dr. Mohammed Yunus Khilji is an Associate Specialist in Pain and Neuromodulation at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, along with FFPMRCA and a PGCert in Neuromodulation and Pain Management from Queen Mary University, London. He brings extensive experience in research and teaching, having served as a professor in anaesthesia and pain medicine in India.

Clinical Nurse Specialist
Gertrude Larte-Codjoe
Trudy is a widely experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neuromodulation at Barts Health NHS Trust. She coordinates peri-operative patient management, delivers education and clinical care providing holistic support for patients' needs.

Research Manager
Alia Ahmad
Alia is an experienced Research Manager with extensive expertise in clinical trial setup, coordination, and project management. She has successfully managed studies across all phases (I-IV) of clinical studies. Alia has a huge interest in medical device studies. She works closely with neuromodulation field engineers to ensure optimal care for neuromodulation patients, bringing together clinical knowledge and technical precision. Her research is focused on improving patient outcomes through innovative and patient-centred clinical studies. With a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, she consistently delivers high-quality, impactful research outcomes.

Deepika Arora
Dr Deepika Arora is a Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University London, along with FFPMRCA and a PGCert in Neuromodulation and Pain Management from Queen Mary University, London. She brings extensive experience in clinical research and teaching supporting ongoing academic portfolio.

Deputy Director of PaRC, Pain Consultant
Dr Kavita Poply
Dr Kavita Poply is a Consultant in Pain and Neuromodulation at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University London (QMUL). She runs various research projects including an NIHR trial and serves as Deputy director at Pain Research Centre (PaRC), London. She is Co-Director for Education Program in Neuromodulation (EEPIN) and the Program Director of the “Post Graduate Certificate (PGcert) Course in Neuromodulation and Pain Management” delivered through Queen Mary University of London.

Principal Scientist
Dr Theresa Wodehouse
Theresa is a PhD supervisor and co-investigator in many trials. Her laboratory work includes gene expression techniques, quantitative sensory testing, lidocaine infusions and measures of interventional pain treatment. She is experienced in research study design, protocol development and submission to regulatory authorities.

Academic Headache Fellow
Ria Bhola
Ria is Academic Headache Fellow. She received her RN qualification from Kings College, London and MSc Nursing and IP qualifications at City University, London. Her clinical and research work is focused on improving outcomes for people with headache disorders. Her contributions include work with NICE on guideline development and treatment appraisals, the Migraine Trust and international colleagues.

Academic & Research Coordinator
Lauren Ewer
Lauren has an MSc in Psychology from the University of Surrey and is currently serving as an Academic & Research Coordinator. She supports two flagship neuromodulation education programs Executive Education Program in Neuromodulation (EEPIN), City St George’s, University of London and PG Cert in Pain Management and Neuromodulation, Queen Mary University of London. She coordinates the data collection for the National Neuromodulation Registry.
